Debenhams discount codes: what to expect

Debenhams codes tend to be short-lived and specific. When we checked, the site was advertising:

• The October Sale with up to 80% off, including up to 80% off the home sale and up to 60% off women's, men's, kids' and shoes and accessories.
• Extra money off sale prices, such as up to 70% off top fashion brands plus an extra 15%, and up to 50% off beauty plus an extra 5%.
• £10 off orders over £100.
• Free next day or express delivery with a code, for a limited time.

Most of these last a few days and many cover one category only, such as beauty or fashion brands. Check what a code covers before you build your basket. The Debenhams page on HuntMeCoupons shows the codes and deals that are live today.

Does Debenhams have a student discount?

Yes. Debenhams lists both UNiDAYS and Student Beans on its website. You verify your student status with one of them to get a Debenhams student code. The discount amount is shown once you've signed in to UNiDAYS or Student Beans, so check it there before you shop.

Student codes usually can't be added on top of other codes, so compare the student discount with any sale offer that's running and use whichever saves more.

Debenhams Beauty Club: points and birthday discounts

The Beauty Club is free to join, but you have to opt in, even if you already have a Debenhams account. You get 500 points once you've spent £10 on beauty, points are worth 1p each, and you can spend them once you have 500. Points arrive 30 days after your purchase and expire after 12 months.

Every tier also gets sale previews and exclusive treats. Points are earned on makeup, skincare, fragrance, beauty electricals and home fragrance. The birthday discount works on one transaction around your birthday.

Debenhams delivery

Debenhams delivers 7 days a week, between 8am and 9pm. Some orders arrive in more than one parcel, because items can come from different locations and sellers. Delivery costs and timeframes are shown on the delivery information page and at checkout.

Ways to pay less for delivery:

• Look out for free next day or express delivery codes, which Debenhams runs from time to time.
• Beauty Club Pro members get free standard delivery when they spend £40 on beauty, and Icon members get free unlimited next day delivery.

At checkout you can add Deliver+, optional delivery cover from £1.99. It refunds you if your parcel is lost or stolen and pays £5 for each day it arrives late, up to £25.

Debenhams returns policy

You have 21 days from receiving your order to return items. Returns aren't free: Debenhams' returns page lists a charge from £2.49 per parcel, which is taken off your refund, and selected large appliances have an extra £50 collection charge.

You can choose a refund to a Debenhams gift card, which is quicker, or to your original payment method, which your bank may take up to 5 more days to show.

Besides cards, Debenhams accepts Klarna and Clearpay, and offers its own DebenhamsPay+ to spread the cost. The free Debenhams app has offers too, and you can turn on push notifications for new offers and order updates.

1. Shop the sale with an extra code: Debenhams often adds an extra percentage off sale prices in fashion or beauty.
2. Join the Beauty Club before your birthday, so you can use the 10% to 20% birthday discount.
3. Compare your student discount with the current sale code and use the bigger saving.
4. Wait for a free delivery code if your order isn't urgent.
